As well as the dogs, we also love and live with Tiggy, our eighteen year old tabby cat, and ten bantam hens. Tiggy had to have her right front leg amputated after a bad fall when she was eleven years old, but continues to thrive and is still top of our pack! All of our dogs have the greatest of respect for their feline friend, allowing her to steal their food and sleep in their beds. Tiggy knows that the dogs look after her in the garden and provide a soft, warm pillow to snuggle up to by the fire.
Our hens are all purebreeds who live as pets in the garden. We have five miniatures: a Buff Orpington (Rosie), a Welsummer (Beth), a Silver-Spangled Hamburg (Lola), a Partridge Wyandotte (Polly) and a Gold-Laced Wyandotte (Winnie), and three true bantams: a blue and a splash Pekin (Hettie and Charlotte) and a Silver Dutch (Persephone).
